Let Your Web Site Do the Selling

The visitors of your website is important, of course, but what happens when they do? Your web content should convince visitors that they have determined the exact information they need to reassure them that your company is credible and reliable, and lead them in action – or is that clicking a link, making a phone call, or buy anything online. Here are some tips for building web content that motivates visitors to take action which usually leads to improved success rates better response rates, and ultimately more revenue!

  • Focus on the benefits. Make sure that your website focuses on the benefits to the customer, instead of puffery about you and your business. If readers see "us" and that "our", which tells you that they focus more on yourself than how you can help to solve their problems.

  • Repeat the "monuments". If visitors to your site through an ad click, make sure they land on a page with the same text as the ad. If a visitor clicks on an organic search results, make sure you repeat the search term (ie, keyword) to the landing page, preferably in a cup or near the top of the first paragraph.

  • Make it easy to Action to undertake. Use a strong call to action, and make sure that visible on the page. If you want visitors to call, make sure your phone is great and fat and not buried in the text. When visitors came to buy, using a large, colorful "Buy Now" button, so there is no doubt about how to make a purchase.

  • Establishing credibility. Your website visitors are not already familiar with your company, and you have very little time to alleviate them.   • Use the subliminal in your favor. The quality of the design and layout of your site sends a subliminal message to your visitors when they first your site. Make sure that communication works to your advantage and reflects an image of quality and professionalism.
