hosting overseas
What do you think of me hosting an "e-Baby Shower" for my sil, who is stationed abroad?
My sister-in-law has been overseas since its man, who was in the Navy, is stationed. She has no close friends since she only has a few months and I would love to throw her a baby shower where everyone email it could send wrapped gifts (something small, since shipping is expensive, or maybe send gifts to her right online store through which we buy from them), and then get together with her in a video chat room at a designated time and it's open, and maybe even play some games and the like via the chat! What do you think? This is against the etiquette? Would it be a good idea (assuming she wants me to throw, that is)? Any tips or ideas?
I love this idea! What a wonderful sil you are! Search whether they can register online at a store (you can many pple to do this) – you can see what they want or need! Or you can theme – such as a diaper shower …. I did this once, and had everyone bring a pkg of diapers – but then I bought disposable cloth (white cloud and Walmart) and you can use a fabric marker and write ppl have thoughts and desires them. or if the family that something more will your hair – you could put together a blanket with pictures – (check this or ask at a substance to store) … my mother for a relative living far away have done. She took pictures of us, printed them on fabric and made a blanket – the baby could have always pictures of family!
