Is a dedicated server faster than my computer?
I have an HP TouchSmart with 4 GB of RAM and I host a game server. Would a dedi with 1 GB of RAM even prevent late in the game more than my computer or should I do to a dedi more than 4 GB of RAM?
it is not only the question of hardware you should consider when considering performance of a computer. the larger the memory, the better. the faster the processor, the better. but if you're an online game hosting, hardware performance issues, but also the bandwidth issues much. you may want the bandwidth of your internet connection to check your hosting capabilities. hope this helps … Thank you and God Bless … ^ _ ^
