Host servers on Comcast / Verizon?

So here's the deal: I want my old laptop into a web server. I already know about things like LAMP, Port 80, and Static / Dynamic IPs, but what I really want to know is, I can either Verizon or Comcast Internet service for my server without violations of the Terms of Service.

Simple enough … 2 things .. 1. Obviously your web server running on your laptop … Apache, IIS server, etc. .. 2. I would recommend something www.no-ip.com because you probably have a dynamic IP address and need a way to find your site, without ever having to know your IP address ever changing … That way you can get on your server as an address myserver.no-ip.com etc. .. This agreement does not violate your consumption … Besides the speed limit they do … Your upload speed is important, is probably limited to, such as 384k or less … So they do not worried about you suck one of their precious bandwidth … That the upload speed would determine the volume of what you could serve the users. Are your bottleneck and a major determinant factor in the cost of your internet service … Hope this helps.
